Rafael Salguero MA in ELT for Specific Purposes, BA (Hons.), Professional Recognition Teaching & Learning (ESOL specialist teacher), Trinity College (London) TESOL Certificate, Trinity College (London) TESOL Licentiate Diploma, Fellow of Institute for Learning.
Rafael has worked with international students since 1979, including 12 years as Director of studies at a private language school. He has worked on and organised General English, Academic English and English for specific Purposes courses. Rafael also has considerable IELTS experience. His ELT interests include communication in the workplace , classroom interaction and Learner Autonomy.

Ritu M.Sc. Mathematics (India) and M.Sc. Computer Science from Staffordshire University.
Ritu’s roles at Birmingham College are as ELT administrator and a lecturer on the BTEC in Business Administrator program. Ritu has taught in F.E. colleges in the UK and prior to that was a mathematics teacher in a private secondary school in India.

After gaining a degree in European Literature and History at Manchester University and completing teacher training Sara started teaching English in 1997 at Gansu Agricultural University in P R China. In 2001 Sara took up a teaching post in East Borneo, Indonesia. Classes were varied and the students very diverse. She taught English to young learners on various vocational courses such as tourism and business management, middle school students who were preparing for higher education and Business English to the commercial and financial sectors of the community Since 2004 she has been teaching English with Birmingham Adult Education Services across the city and is now also contributing to the English language program at Birmingham College |

Chris’ main role at Birmingham College is ELT administrator, including tutorial support. He is keen to establish a career in ELT and is going to spend more time in the classroom too. Outside college, Chris is involved in local amateur football. Chris has studied at Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School and The University of Derby and previously worked in administration and financial administration. |

| Gregory Barron - English Language tutor |
Greg is a recently qualified English language teacher. In the summer of 2009 he completed a degree in French at the University of Bangor. During this time, Greg spent a year living in a French speaking country, which sparked an interest in language teaching and learning more about different cultures around the world. This contributed to his decision to do a CELTA course in Australia, where he spent many months travelling around and meeting different people from all over the world, who all wanted to learn English. On returning to the UK, he has made it a goal to teach English to others. Greg’s professional aim is to develop his skills and knowledge in teaching Business English, Academic English and study skills. |

| Mr. Temitope Afuye – Coordinator / Lecturer |
Mr. Temitope Afuye attended the University of Lincoln and obtained a LL.M in European Law. After his LLM, Mr Afuye attended the post graduate Diploma course in Paralegal Practice and he obtained a distinction grade.
Mr Afuye started his lecturing career in 2006 working with various colleges and institues. He lectured modules on the basic foundation of legal knowledge which led to an award of LLB of the University of London External Degree Programme.
Mr Afuye has also worked as a Registrar & Senior Lecturer has successfully liaised with the University of Manchester for recognition agreement in the provision of teacher training opportunities to PGCE Trainees from the University. |
